C.J. started out in the world of tax preparation in December of 2020 as a seasonal Tax Preparer for Jackson Hewitt in Shalimar, FL. His ability and potential was quickly noticed by his supervisors, who began assigning him more complicated tax work usually reserved for those who have worked multiple tax seasons. After moving back to his native Alabama, C.J. spent the next four years as a Staff Accountant at Langley and Associates. Working under Ted Langley, CPA, C.J. has repeated experience with complicated tax matters, having handled items such as clergy tax returns, trust tax returns, the sale of a business, and the COVID-era Employee Retention Credit. With the ERC specifically, C.J. has gotten some local churches over half a million dollars in refunds.
